Commercial Perennial Winterization
What is Perennial Winterization?
Recommended Frequency: Annually every fall
Perennial winterization is the cutting back and removal of dead perennial foliage/growth from landscape beds. This is done to both make your property look more presentable and to give your perennials growing room and a fresh look come spring time. Hostas, daylilies, ornamental grass and other perennials no longer utilize their above-ground growth and will completely regenerate from their roots next season. Our crews are trained on what plants need to be cutback and how to safely do so.
Why is Perennial Winterization Important?
- Enhances the look of landscape beds come fall and spring
- Removes potential areas of mold and disease development
- Gives perennials room to grow the next growing season
★★★★★
“First landscaping experience was a fall clean up and cutting back of shrubs and bushes. I am pretty fanatical about my property and making sure the lawn and beds are pristine. The crew from J & R did a first class job! This was the first year that I haven’t done the work myself and my opinion is that the job they did was better than my own fussy work. When you find people who take care of your property as good or better than you would, you’ve found an exceptional partner. Thanks to J&R!”
